2026 Maccabiah Team Application Process
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the United States Team that will compete at the Maccabiah 2026 to be held in Israel, June 30 – July 20, 2026! The Maccabiah is a celebration of Jewish unity, culture, and heritage through world athletic competition, and we are thrilled that you are interested in being a part of it.
Application and Selection Process:

- All applicants for all positions must submit a non-refundable $60 application fee with the completed application form. There will not be tryouts.
- The selection process may be determined by national ranking, verified times or other means. Once applications are submitted, applicants will be contacted by the sport chair to review the selection process. Any questions about the process should be directed to the Maccabi USA office.
- The application must be completed online to receive consideration for the United States Team. Any questions concerning the application or team selections should be directed to Shane Carr, Senior Director of Programs (215) 561-6900 Ext 4147 or email scarr@maccabiusa.com.
- A deposit will be required by all team members within 5 business days, following appointment notification, to confirm your spot on the team. All deposits must be made by credit card and are non-refundable.

Financial Support
- Thanks to a generous grant from RootOne, this $6,800 fee for U19 / U17 athletes includes a $3,000 grant for all high school athletes (grades 9th-12th) enrolled for the 2025-26 school year. Eligibility is subject to completion of requirements. Previous RootOne grant recipients, are not eligible and will be charged $9,800.
- ^ Open and Para athletes are eligible for a $3,000 grant from the Mandel Foundation subject to availability.
- Need Based Scholarships: All U19/U17/U15, Open, Maccabi Media students and Para Athletes are eligible for need based scholarships. Applications are available upon successful appointment to the team.
- Merit Based Scholarships: Open and Para Athletes are also eligible for merit scholarships.Applications are available upon successful appointment to the team.
- **Media: Thanks to a generous donation from Maccabi Media Program, this $5,400 fee includes a $3,000 merit scholarship that all Maccabi Media students will receive plus an additional $3,000 grant from the Mandel Foundation. Additional financial assistance may also be available upon selection to the team.
- Maccabi USA wants this experience to be accessible for all qualified Jewish athletes. If you need financial assistance, we will provide tools to help you raise money from your family, friends, and colleagues. Additionally, there are Hebrew Free Loan Associations (HFLA) across the United States who may be able to provide you with interest-free loans so you can cover costs over a longer period of time. Dates
- All U15, U17, U19, Open, Para athletes and Maccabi Media students will participate in ISRAEL CONNECT: a one-week immersive cultural and educational program following the Maccabiah. Participation in ISRAEL CONNECT from July 14-20 is mandatory. This program will be conducted in Israel prior to the beginning of the Games.
- Most U15/U17/U19, Open and Para athletes will leave the United States on June 29, 2026, while a few teams will leave on June 28 for training in Israel.
- Some select teams may have training in the United States before leaving for Israel. Coaches, Managers and Medical team members will also have the same date commitments.
- Masters team members should plan to be in Israel June 30-July 14, 2026.
What’s Included
- U15/U17/U19, Open, Para and Maccabi Media students and volunteers, the financial commitment includes an international flight from select departure cities, hotel accommodations (double or triple occupancy), ground transportation, Games registration, medical insurance, apparel package and meals provided by the organizers of the Games. Flights from select airports may have a supplemental fee of TBD. This will be communicated prior to ticketing.
- U15/17/19 and Open team members who participate in training camp in Israel, prior to Israel connect will incur an additional $600 fee.
- Masters financial commitment includes hotel accommodations (double occupancy), ground transportation, Games registration, medical insurance, apparel package and meals provided by the organizers of the Games. Masters pricing includes double-occupancy accommodations at the team hotel to be shared with another Masters delegation member. Pricing and availability of single rooms, upgrades, and family member registration are TBD.
- Flights are not included for Masters Athletes or Coaches.
- Domestic travel within the United States to the international flight is not included for any team member.

- Parents and supporters are encouraged to come to Israel to watch loved ones compete.
