Maccabiah 2025 will be held in Israel. Competitions will take place in Haifa, Jerusalem, Netanya and Tel Aviv. Specific sports, age categories and venues will be available in Spring of 2024.

The selection process will vary by sport. Past methods have included national ranking, verified times, tryouts, video footage, or other means. After the application is submitted, you will be notified about the selection process by the chair and/or coach of your sport and team.

- The U16, U18 and Open Team members will depart around July 1, 2025 for ISRAEL CONNECT. Some teams will have a training camp in Israel prior to July 1. Other teams will also have training in the US prior to their July 1 departure. Details on training camps will be available in Spring of 2025 for all Team Members.
- Masters athletes should be in Israel by July 8 and will have the opportunity to take their own international flight or take a Maccabi USA flight option with Gil Travel.

There are opportunities for athletes and a variety of volunteer staff to join the team. Volunteer staff positions include managers, coaches, and medical team members- athletic trainers, doctors, and nurses. To be considered for any position on the team, please start by completing the application for Maccabiah 2025.

Jewish athletes born 2010 and earlier. There are some birth year exceptions based on the sport regulations. Please consult your sport specific page here.
Maccabi USA also provides opportunities for accommodations managers, coaches, and medical team members.
All Jews by birth or Jews by choice are welcome to apply for a position as part of a MACCABI USA delegation. Jews by choice may have been converted by Rabbis of any denomination. Jews by birth qualify if the following conditions are all met: One of their birth parents or adoptive parents is Jewish. They consider themselves to be Jewish. They do not identify as being a member of another religion. Other circumstances deserving of consideration will be determined by the Eligibility Committee.
USA team members must be a U.S. Citizen, hold a valid Green Card, or E2 Investment Visa

Team members in the U16/U18 and Open Categories will participate Israel Connect, a week-long intensive experiential education and athletic training program including nearly 1,000 team members. Prior to Israel Connect, (July 1-7, 2025)
Educational, cultural, and social activities and tours are planned during the competition. They are dependent on sports schedules. These activities are coordinated by the relevant Games Organizers in Israel.
Some sports will have a training camp in Israel, prior to Israel Connect. Others will have training in the USA prior to departing for their international flight. You will receive those details from your respective chair or coach. Additional costs around $600 will be incurred. Although not required, it is encouraged that all team members participate in training camp.
