Israel Connect
Maccabi USA’s Israel Connect program is a 6-day immersive journey focused on building connection to one’s own Jewish Identity, the American Jewish community, Israel, and global Diaspora Jewry. It has become the cornerstone of the US delegation’s 3-week Maccabiah experience. Thank you to our sponsors and supporters for helping make this possible, including: the JNF-USA Boruchin Center, the Seed the Dream Foundation, the Paul Singer Family Foundation, the Jewish Education Project/RootOne, and Maccabi World Union/Kfar Maccabiah.

As we approach the two year anniversary of the tragic attacks on October 7, 2023, we mourn the lives lost, remember the pain endured, demand the return of the hostages and pray for peace.
Join the Maccabi Movement on Sunday, October 5th at 6:29 AM as we will gather to honor the Israeli athletes murdered on October 7th — to demand the release of the hostages — and to stand in memory of all the victims.
How to participate:
1. Find a partner or create a group in ...your community.
2. Print this bib (last slide, any printer, any paper) and wear it during your run, walk, or ride.
3. On Sunday, October 5 at 6:29 AM, read the eulogy of the murdered athletes.
4. Hold one minute of silence in their memory and in honor of all the victims of October 7.
5. Begin your run, walk, or ride — dressed in blue, carrying Israeli flags, and wearing the bib with their names and a black-and-yellow ribbon.
6.Conclude by singing Hatikva together with communities around the world.
In South Florida, there will be a Miami Local Event where runners and bikers can participate together as a proud and united Jewish community.
Meeting point for runners:
Charnow Park

Meeting point for bikers:
Aventura Mall
7:00 AM Start | Finish at Charnow Park
No matter where you participate, don’t forget to tag @lovingmomsunited on social media and use #Oct7Race2Honor so we can stay connected across the globe. Athletes belong on the field and on the track — not caught in political crossfire. Stand with Israeli athletes.
Together, no matter where we are, we run as one. Whether you are walking, running or biking, together we will raise our voices, remember their names, and show that sports unite us — not hate.

With sadness and outrage, Maccabi USA turns its eyes to the tragic events in Manchester, England – the murder of innocent Jews at a synagogue observing the holiest of days, Yom Kippur. We stand with Maccabi GB and all of our Jewish sisters and brothers in Manchester with broken hearts as we ...remember the victims of this horrific attack. May the memories of Adrian Daulby z"l and Melvin Cravitz z”l be a blessing and may those injured have a full and speedy recovery.
As Yom Kippur approaches, we reflect on the year past and look ahead with hope and purpose.
From all of us at Maccabi USA, G’mar Chatimah Tovah. May you and your loved ones be sealed for a good, sweet, and healthy 5786. This year, our prayers also include a heartfelt plea for the safe ...and swift return of all the hostages and for peace in Israel and around the world.
We wish you a meaningful Yom Kippur.
