MACCABI USA ANNOUNCES THE 2018 EXECUTIVE BOARD
Philadelphia, PA, December 14, 2017 – The 2017 Nominating Committee is pleased to announce the following individuals elected as Officers for the Executive Committee of Maccabi USA at the Annual Meeting of the Organization on Sunday, December 3, in Newark, NJ. They include: Donald Kent, of New York, NY – First Vice President; Debbie Adams, Asheville, NC – Vice President; Arnold Fielkow, New Orleans, LA – Vice President; Tonja Magerman, Blue Bell, PA – Vice President; Lou Moyerman, Philadelphia, PA – Vice President; Donna Orender, Jacksonville, FL – Secretary; Ben Fox, Norman, OK – Treasurer; and Marc Rosenberg, Short Hills, NJ – Associate Treasurer. Additionally, 40 individuals were elected members of the Board of Directors and will serve four-year terms.
Maccabi USA builds Jewish pride through Sports. With over 200 Board Members and countless laypeople, the 2018 Executive Committee, along with the 2018 Organizing Committee, will help field the Team of Jewish athletes that will represent the USA at the inaugural International Maccabi Youth Games in Israel.
In addition to the International Maccabi Youth Games, the board and volunteers at Maccabi USA will send teams of qualified Jewish athletes to participate in the European Maccabi Games – July 2019 – and the Pan Am Maccabi Games – July 2019. These International Maccabi Games provide additional opportunities to use Sports to expose athletes to the Diaspora and connect with other athletes who have a shared Jewish Identity.
