MACCABI USA ANNOUNCES THE JUNIORS GIRLS’ LACROSSE TEAM FOR THE 20TH WORLD MACCABIAH GAMES
Philadelphia, PA, April 4, 2017 – The Maccabi USA Lacrosse Chairwoman Eve Levinson along with Head Coach Jessica Chadwin Hoepfl and Assistant Coach Sherrea Chadwin, are pleased to announce the Juniors Girls’ Lacrosse Team for the 20th World Maccabiah Games, which will take place July 4-18, 2017 in Israel. Maccabi USA will bring a team of 1,100+ athletes who will be part of the 10,000 Jewish athletes from 80 countries, participating in 43 different sports.
For the first time in history, Lacrosse will be played at the World Maccabiah Games. When asked about her excitement to bring the inaugural Lacrosse team, Head Coach Chadwin said “to be chosen Head Coach of the first Juniors Girls Lacrosse Team for Maccabi USA is both a thrill and honor. I love lacrosse and am especially excited to reap the reward and benefits of playing the game of lacrosse through new opportunities around the world. I look forward to enjoying athletic success and sharing the cultural richness of the Maccabiah Games with my lacrosse team.”

Wootton High School; Drew Kesslin of Carlsbad, CA, Carlsbad High School; Olivia Korman of Blue Bell, PA, Germantown Academy; Brynn Korpi of Rye Brook, NY, Blind Brook Middle School; Ariella Lerner of Great Neck, NY, Great Neck North High School; Natalie Mogul of New York, NY, The Trinity School; Anna Resnick of Glencoe, IL, New Trier High School; Claire Rosenfeld of Portland, OR, Catlin Gabel School; Talia Trakman of San Diego, CA, San Diego Jewish Academy; Alexandra Weinsten of Weston, MA, Noble & Greenough School; Nicole Weinsten of Weston, MA, Noble & Greenough School; and Rachel White of Bridgewater, NJ, Bridgewater Raritan Regional High School.
Since 1932, over 62,000 athletes have participated in the Maccabiah Games, in a celebration of Jewish Strength and Solidarity. Team USA’s success is not only measured by the medals won, but by the impact that the Maccabiah experience had on their lives as well as the friendships they formed.
