Philadelphia, PA, February 14 – Sloane Milstein, 19th Maccabiah USA Open Equestrian Chairman announced the appointment of Becky Brown as the Dressage Coach for the Open Equestrian team participating in the World Maccabiah Games in Israel, July 2013.

Becky Brown has vast experience coaching in the Dallas, TX area since graduating from Texas Tech University in 1976. She has taught horsemanship classes at Eastfield Community College and has also been a guest instructor for the United States Pony Club.

“I am honored to have been chosen to coach at the Maccabiah Games. I can’t wait to meet the team and coach these talented athletes.”

Brown’s programs in Dallas, TX are focused on coaching and training kids the same way she would train athletes that have Olympic aspirations. Many of the students she has coached have succeeded in one star, two star, and three star level competitions. Her students have won medals at the North American Junior Young Riders’ Championships, the Junior National Preliminary Championships and held top spots on the USEA Year-End Leader Board. Many of her students have also participated in University equestrian programs.

Brown has earned the United States Dressage Federation and United States Hunter Jumper Association certifications. In 2012, she was awarded the USEA Cornerstone Award, which is a national award honoring those instructors who have taught over 20 years and have shown excellence in teaching and producing excellent riders.
