BOSTON WINTER BASKETBALL
EXPERIENCE IN ISRAEL
December 20-31, 2026
Maccabi USA is now recruiting 9th and 10th basketball athletes (ages 14-16) to assemble an 8-player boys team and an 8-player girls team to travel to Israel from December 20-31, 2026, and compete against Israeli opponents and participate in Jewish and education and touring.
Details:
– Required social and pre-education sessions and practices start October/November
– Participant cost: $1000 plus airfare.
(Round-trip flights from Boston to Tel Aviv are already reserved and the group will fly together as a delegation.)
Goals:
To ensure the impact of programming and alignment to the organizational missions of Maccabi USA and Combined Jewish Philanthropies, five primary goals were established for this program:
- Deepen individual Jewish Identity
- Foster connection to the land and people of Israel
- Understand the diversity of the Israeli people
- Create lasting friendships with Israeli peers
- Connect with and learn about the Boston sister-city of Haifa, the largest integrated city in Israel
