Criteria for Selection:
Applications to become Maccabi USA chess athletes will be judged based on overall commitment to the game. Consideration will be given to objective measures such as US Chess Federation Elo rating and/ or International FIDE rating, however other measures such as longevity of study, chess achievement, and general experience at formal competition will be emphasized as well. We are looking for players who have a demonstrated substantive focus on the game of chess.
