What happens when the game you’ve built your life around suddenly ends?

Olivia Gott’s transition out of collegiate softball at the University of Virginia @uva was abrupt and disorienting, leaving her grappling with a loss of identity, routine, and purpose.

From the highs of ...winning gold with Team Israel to the quiet struggle of losing her athletic identity, her journey didn’t stop when she left the field...it evolved.

Now a mental health therapist for athletes, Gott is helping others face the same pressures, doubts, and transitions she once did.

With Mental Health Awareness Month right around the corner (May) Gott’s story is a powerful reminder that life after sports isn’t the end of a story, but the start of a new chapter.

Today, we pause to remember and honor Israel’s fallen soldiers and victims of terror. On Yom HaZikaron, we stand in solidarity with the families, friends, and communities whose lives have been forever changed.

As a Maccabi USA family, we reflect on the lives and futures that were cut ...short. Their legacy is not only felt in moments of remembrance, but in the continued strength and unity of the Jewish people.

May their memories be a blessing.

If you had your moment in sports, what would you write on your sneakers?

This year for Yom Haatzmaut, we’re bringing that same energy to our community by capturing the messages, pride, and stories that define who we are.

Join us at the Celebrate Israel Independence Day Festival ...and make your mark by adding your message to the Wall of Mensch

Jake Baum @jakebaum_ (Maccabi Media Student / @univmiami Alum) sat down with @cooperjosefsberg (Go Gators!) to talk about Josefsberg's experience growing up in Miami, his love for basketball, and the excitement around the upcoming Maccabiah in Israel.

With his college season behind ...him and his first trip to Israel ahead, Josefsberg is approaching the summer with both perspective and purpose.

While the experience itself carries meaning far beyond the scoreboard, his competitive mindset hasn’t changed.

“I’m leaving Israel with a gold medal.”

On Yom HaShoah, we remember and honor the six million Jews whose lives were taken during the Holocaust. We bear witness to their stories and reaffirm our responsibility to ensure their memory endures for generations to come.

May their memory be a blessing.
