MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENTS APPOINTED TO TEAM USA FOR THE 2018 MACCABI YOUTH GAMES
Philadelphia, PA June 27, 2018 – The Maccabi USA Organizing Committee is pleased to announce 12 athletes, two coaches, and one accommodations manager from Massachusetts that have been appointed as members of the USA delegation for the upcoming Maccabi Youth Games, which will take place in Israel, July 22-August 2, 2018.
The athletes are Miles Backer of Weston, MA, Youth Men’s Basketball; Nathan Baglin of Sudbury, MA, Youth Rugby 7’s; Tal Breiman of Brookline, MA, Youth Men’s Basketball; Rylan Chandler of Westford, MA, Youth Men’s Soccer; Jack Fox-Wiviott of Wellesley, MA, Youth Men’s Baseball; Ryan Grace of Concord, MA, Youth Men’s Baseball; Liam Grossman of Dover, MA, Youth Men’s Baseball; Mark Henshon of Wellesley, MA, Youth Men’s Baseball; Dylan Hunt of Tyngsboro, MA, Youth Men’s Soccer; Aaron Kreithen of Westford, MA, Youth Men’s Baseball; Ben Platt of Arlington, MA, Youth Men’s Baseball; and Joseph Solomon of Sudbury, MA, Youth Men’s Baseball. Natasha Friedman of Brighton, MA, will serve as Assistant Coach for one of the Youth Women’s Soccer Teams and Robert Starensier of Acton, MA, will serve as Head Coach for one of the Youth Men’s Baseball Teams. Stuart Chason of Brookline, MA will serve as an Accommodations Manager.
There will be six days of competition, followed by three days of touring based in Jerusalem. The other countries competing include Argentina, Brazil, Canada, France, Great Britain, Holland, Hungary, Israel, Italy, South Africa, and Spain.
The Maccabi Youth Games will provide the athletes an opportunity to compete internationally and connect with Jewish athletes from around the world and the State of Israel.
