Oded Krashinsky, Head of Security for the Maccabi USA delegation, has dedicated his life to protecting others. It’s his life’s work.
“It has shaped my character, my understanding of life and challenges, and my ability to navigate difficult situations,” Krashinsky explains.
Born and raised in Israel, Krashinsky served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for five years, specializing in anti-terrorism tactics and electronic counter-surveillance, from the age of 18 to 23. His expertise led him to become a highly-regarded figure in the security industry.
Following his military career, Oded channeled his passion and experience into founding ASC Premier Protection Services. As the president of ASC, he has spent more than 33 years leading operations, managing projects, consulting, and designing advanced security systems. His custom-designed protection measures have been instrumental in securing private residences, estates, and corporate facilities around the world.
His leadership style is rooted in resilience, patience, and a deep understanding of human behavior. “You are managing a wide range of personalities,” he notes, recognizing the complexities of managing a diverse team.
With 98% of his employees being veterans, Oded takes pride in molding their skills through comprehensive training programs, ensuring they are prepared for any scenario.
As the Head of Security for the MUSA delegation traveling to Israel for the Maccabiah, Oded is leading the effort to ensure safety of athletes, staff, and families. The ongoing conflict with Hamas and other regional threats, have heightened security concerns for the upcoming Games in July. With athletes, staff, and families preparing to travel to Israel, Oded and his team are diligently planning to ensure their safety.
“The role is to understand the delegation planning and traveling to Israel, activities, guests, competitors, and everything involving the US team. You have to understand the risks and the challenges as far as security and safety that might be encountered in Israel and to prepare something that can help mitigate risks,” Oded explains. “While we follow a set preparation plan, we know that situations can change daily. The biggest challenge is to relate to the people and the situations and how to deal with the issues that can occur. The second thing is to be on top of it, and there might be some challenges that happen very quickly and how to encounter them and detect them. The third thing is to recognize and understand that we have very complicated situations for us and all the agencies in Israel that might be busier to accommodate, so we have to compensate for it and give the best solutions for the athletes.”
One of Oded’s most memorable experiences was his involvement in Operation Solomon, a covert Israeli military operation in 1991 that airlifted more than 14,000 Ethiopian Jews to Israel in just 36 hours. This high-risk mission reinforced his ability to handle complex security challenges and shaped his career in protection services.
When asked what influenced his career, Oded responds simply, “That is what I know how to do.”
His dedication to his craft and leadership philosophy are evident in the way he approaches both security and business. Through his leadership, expertise, and unwavering commitment to safety, Oded Krashinsky continues to set the standard in the security industry. As he prepares to protect the Maccabi USA delegation at the Maccabiah, his decades of experience ensure that athletes and their families can focus on competition, knowing they are in safe hands.
